Facts You Should Know
HIV Prevention
The once-daily pill reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex by more than 90%.
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is medicine taken to prevent getting HIV. PrEP is highly effective when taken as prescribed. Since PrEP only protects against HIV, condom use remains important for protection against other STDs.

Reduces HIV risk from injection drug use by at least 74%
How It Works
Liver Health
Hepatitis means inflammation of the liver. When the liver is inflamed or damaged its function can be affected. The hepatitis C virus is the most common bloodborne infection in the U.S.
1. Get Tested
Testing is critical — people can live without symptoms for years or even decades. Know your status.
2. Medical Review
Your Hep C Specialist runs additional tests to understand how the virus is affecting your liver and helps choose the right treatment.
3. Start Treatment
Don't wait for symptoms. By the time they appear, liver damage may be advanced. Modern treatments are highly effective.
4. Follow Up
Three months after treatment, a blood test confirms your viral load is undetectable — you're cured.
